With the right combination of bioactive decomposition and advanced technology, a septic system performs the remarkable task of transforming wastewater material into clean water that can return to groundwater or an aquifer. Pipes connect the house’s plumbing to the tank which acts as a natural separator for organic and inorganic materials.

 The watery effluent leaves the tank through a filter and enters the drainage field. Perforated pipes allow this effluent to slowly enter the soil body where beneficial bacteria can decompose waste materials for proper assimilation with the groundwater.  Over time, the septic tank’s waste material builds up and needs to be pumped out to avoid the risk of overwhelming the tank and entering the leach field.
